How to Lose a Muffin Top After a C-Section
Are you in need of a list of the best muffin top exercises? Do you have a spare tire or belly pooch that you’d like to shrink in a hurry? The first thing you need to know is that muffin tops are relatively simple to fix. That’s right, I said simple. That’s because spare tires, love handles, muffin tops and belly pooches (or whatever you want to call them) are made up of pure fat. That’s because brisk walking keeps your heart rate high enough to burn lots of calories but low enough that those calories are coming from the fat cells in your body. Working out very hard will burn lots of calories, but the body will prefer to burn glycogen (sugar) from your liver instead of fat from your muffin top.

A 180 pound person walking at 4 miles per hour will burn about 100 calories. That’s a nice brisk pace, but not a jog. If you combine that walk with cutting 150 calories per day from soft drinks or unhealthy snack foods, you’re up to 250 calories. Do that 5 days a week for six weeks and your muffin top will be two pounds lighter. Don’t think that’s enough to make a difference? Picture two pounds of ground beef in your hands. Now picture yourself smashing and sticking it against your body, all around your waist. How much wider would your waist be? Two pounds is a significant amount of fat to lose off of the waist alone. It’s true that you can’t control exactly where fat comes off of your body. Your DNA determines where you gain and lose weight first. However, the stomach is usually one of the first places people lose body fat.
In the Mean Time
While you’re waiting to lose weight off your waist, you can still hide that muffin top and look cute in your favorite jeans or you could buy bigger jeans…it’s up to you. I’m guessing you’d rather be smaller than buy larger pants. In order to prevent your stomach, love handles or back fat from sticking out over your jeans, simply wear a waist clincher or body shaper under your clothes. Quality shapewear is relatively comfortable and inexpensive. It will give your stomach a smooth, even look and often allows you to drop one dress/pants size in an instant.
